Christopher C. Thaens  is a 2006 graduate of Brooklyn Law School, achieving awards for his performance in classes in Products Liability, and Divorce Mediation. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is admitted in New York State and Federal Court.

Once admitted, Mr. Thaens began his legal career working for solo practitioners. He was exposed to a variety of litigation scenarios, representing a mix of plaintiffs and defendants. During this time period he worked in the areas of contracts, real estate, matrimonial, personal injury, and criminal law. He litigated a bench trial, achieving a favorable settlement for his client. He drafted an appellate brief which won a decision for his clients, dismissing all claims. He has extensive court experience in local venues.

In 2008, he began working primarily in the field of medical malpractice defense. In this area, his work in trial preparation and support, drafting motions and memorandums of law, were instrumental in achieving defense verdicts in several high-exposure medical malpractice trials. Christopher has also drafted effective motions for summary judgment, which have resulted in court rulings dismissing all claims asserted against his clients. Mr. Thaens joined the firm in 2010 as an Associate.
